BounceBit: The chain will be permanently discontinued and the token will be reissued at BNB Chain

On 21 August, BounceBit stated that it had been assessed that it had decided to permanently discontinue BounceBit Chain, and that the baby would be reissued on BNB Chain in the form of a BP-20 token, based on a snapshot before the attack, and that the BB transferred by the attackers would not be included in the new coin. The BB balance (with a pledge component) of the user's snapshot block will be used as a basis for distribution, and no operation is required at this time. The team cautions against the fraudulent act of impersonating official requests for `movement', `validation' of wallets, and the date of recovery of the exchange's withdrawals is based on platform announcements. BounceBit states that between 19 and 20 August, the attackers took advantage of the authorized loophole of a built-in agreement in the chain to transfer, without authorization, some 286.5 million BBs from nine main network accounts. The incident, which originated at the bottom of the Evmos architecture, did not involve private key leaks or the theft of wallets, and CeDeFi Strategy, Promo Valts, Prime and RWA products were not affected. Production of blocks has ceased and no unauthorized transfers have occurred since。
