Reattacks by Israeli forces in southern Lebanon

On 21 August, IDF issued a statement on the afternoon of 21 August that it had struck a building in the so-called “security buffer zone” in southern Lebanon on the same day. According to the Israeli army, several “suspects” were found earlier that day entering a building in the Barahit area of the “security buffer zone” in southern Lebanon, posing a “threat” to Israeli soldiers, who subsequently attacked the building. The Israeli forces also stated that they would continue to carry out operations to eliminate the “imminent threat”, but at the same time they “continue to work towards compliance with the agreements reached between Israel and Lebanon”.
