The Sandbox: Discovering and controlling the breach of the bridge, impacting less than 0.01 per cent

The Sandbox stated that the team had identified and fully controlled the breach of the cross-chain bridge on Base and BNB Smart Chain (BSC). The attackers had previously forged unsupported sands on two chains, affecting less than 0.01 per cent of the total supply of sands. The two-way cross-chain functions of Base and BSC are now closed and the associated sands cannot be moved or redeemed. The Sandbox reminded users not to trade or trade sands on these two chains and stressed that the sands on the Toyo and Polygon had not been affected and that the user ' s wallet had not been invaded to support the complete integrity of the ETA lock-in assets across the chain. Based on pre-incident snapshots, the team is developing a compensation programme for eligible users of the affected mobility pool, which will be followed by a full incident report and a technical revisit。
