OpenAI Acquisition Real-Time Database

On 22 August, OpenAI acquired the InstantDB team of the Real-Time Database platform, which previously served over 17,000 users and 400,000 applications and processed approximately 2.5 billion transactions. InstantDB provides back-end or service (BaaS) products to help developers process real-time data synchronization. Current users are required to relocate cloud hosting applications by 31 August 2027 and the open source will continue to be maintained for self-deployment. InstantDB is Y Combinator ' s Incubation 2022 and the founding team will join the OpenAI Enhanced AI Agent Application Infrastructure, which is compatible with the capacity of the InstantDB focused on real-time data synchronization infrastructure, for which the AI Agent is required to maintain long-term state management, real-time data reading, writing and conflict processing。
