BERKSHIRE CEO GREG ABEL HOLDS NEARLY $400 BILLION IN CASH
Birkheshire Hazawe CEO Greg Abel currently holds nearly $400 billion in cash. In early 2026, Warren Buffett handed over the company's CEO position to Abel and gave him a generous welcome gift: nearly $400 billion in cash. By the end of the second quarter, however, this figure had dropped to approximately $36.5 billion, with some funds allocated to public equities. Abel carried out a remarkable acquisition: Taylor Morrison's house, at a cost of about $8.5 billion. This acquisition was relatively modest compared to its $17 billion investment in the Google parent company Alphabet. Abel indicated that the future would integrate the company ' s housing operations with a view to providing more Americans with the dream of home ownership. This integration plan may improve the financial performance of the company, although it will not bring about significant changes。
