IN WEIDA HAS DECIDED TO ABANDON THE COUPE TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM FOR THE TIME BEING

According to sources, Ying Weida has decided to temporarily abandon the CUPE technology programme because of the slow progress in the technological advancement of Silicon Nitrogen (SiN) and the under-expected development of a 2-dimensional optic condensator. The former “Plan A” programme, based on a build-up of COUPE, encapsulated the optical platform, while the latest “Plan B” shifted to the Silicon Optical Platform of Tower Semiconductor。
