AMD STOCK PRICE OR 40 PER CENT INCREASE WITH STRONG BUY-IN RATING FROM ANALYSTS
After the sale of the AMD (Super-View Semiconductor) after having gone through the financial statements earlier this month, the analyst Simon Leopold moved his rating from “Run-win Disk” to “Stand-In” and raised the target price from $565 to $641, indicating an increase of about 40 per cent. Some 72 per cent of Wall Street analysts rate AMD as “strong buy-in” or “buy-in”. The AMD share price increased by 5 per cent in the afternoon deal. Leopold believes that AMD, with its powerful AI chip, will be an important participant in driving the agency. In addition, he expected that the server central processor (CPU) market would grow by 2030 at a combined annual growth rate of 44 per cent to about US$ 2010 billion. The AMD performance in the second quarter exceeded Wall Street expectations, with non-GAAP earnings of $1.66 per share, and a 50 per cent increase in revenue over the same period to $11.5 billion, which exceeded the analyst ' s expectations of approximately $11.34 billion. AMD also expects that the revenue of the server CPU will increase by 80 per cent in the second half of 2026 and by 70 per cent in 2027。
