Cuba condemns the extension of the United States economic embargo against Cuba
On 26 August, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Rodríguez, on 25 August, condemned the Government of the United States for renewing the Trading against the Enemy Act, which had been in force against Cuba since 1962. Through social media, Rodríguez stated: “Cuba condemns in the strongest terms the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States Government for another year, a policy of genocide against our people that has lasted for more than six decades”.
