Anthropic decided that the San Francisco office staff would be accommodated in their homes on Mondays and Tuesdays because the security contractor Allied Universal had warned in advance of a possible strike. Trade unions indicated that they did not give notice of the strike and did not authorize a strike to vote. The parties began negotiating new contracts in April, and trade unions called for higher wages, better medical benefits and increased security training.
