Ukraine claims to have hit the Norsey refinery in Russia, causing a fire

The Ukrainian side indicated that its armed forces had attacked a large oil refinery in the Russian Volga region. This is the most recent and intense Ukrainian attack on the Russian oil-processing industry. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine issued a statement stating that the attack had led to a fire at the refinery near Novgorod. The statement also states: “Action against key enemy targets continues.” This refinery, called Norsi, has a design capacity of approximately 340,000 barrels per day and is one of the largest refineries in Russia.
