Anthropic and Nscale reached an AI Calculator Accord of $45 billion

On 27 August, Anthropic had agreed to pay Nscale $45 billion over the next six years to lease some 460 MW of AI at its Monarch data centre in West Virginia. According to sources, Nscale will use the Vera Rubin chip of the NVDA.O, which is expected to be online by the end of next year. The entire Monarch Park has a planned capacity of approximately 135, with a total investment of approximately $71 billion, of which approximately $47 billion is for the AI chip, with the remaining buildings starting to provide capacity in 2028.
