Analyst: expected or slight warming in the market before the September Fed meeting

On 27 August, in a report, Reto Cueni, Chief Economist of the Stae Group, stated that the market might have slightly increased the expectations of the September Fed meeting. He noted, however, that it was still possible that most of the current market would expect the Fed not to increase interest rates, and that the Stae Group itself did not consider that to do so. “For the time being, we maintain our judgement that the Fed will not increase further in the second half of this year.” Based on LSEG data, the currency market currently expects a 65 per cent probability that the Fed will maintain interest rates at its September meeting。
