Over $3.63 billion was lost in the encryption security incident between 2025 and 2026. Dollar

According to data from the early release of In, between January 2025 and July 2026, 245 security incidents were recorded in the encryption field, with cumulative losses exceeding $3.63 billion. The top 10 attacks accounted for over 72.5 per cent of the stolen money. Supply chain and infrastructure gaps have resulted in CEX and DEX losses of over $1.8 billion, CEX common risk is private key leakage, and DApp has stolen about $546 million due to smart contract loopholes. Of the 147 incidents involving the completion of the independent security audit platform, stolen funds accounted for 88.44 per cent of total losses, and only about 11 per cent related to weaknesses in smart contracts within the scope of the audit。
