Trump: There's no fear of Russia attacking NATO

On 28 August, according to Axios, the President of the United States, Trump, stated that he “does not fear at all” that Russia might resort to military provocation against NATO countries, claiming “no problem”. Earlier, CIA Director Ratcliffe had made a covert visit to Moscow and met with the head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Agency, Nareshkin, which, according to several media reports, was intended to warn Russia not to attack NATO countries, but Trump denied that the visit was “routine” and that “there was no message or anything unusual”. Nareshkin also stated that the talks between the two sides were regular and focused on “intelligence services”. This meeting is taking place at a time when European concerns about Russia's possible search for NATO collective defence commitments are on the rise. Ratcliffe visited Russia for the first time since he took office。
