The US judge stopped the Pentagon from blacklisting Anthony
On Thursday, 28 August, a United States judge blocked the Pentagon ' s decision to blacklist Anthropic, the latest development of a high-risk dispute between the Claude developer and the United States military over security issues in the battlefield of AI. Anthropic filed an action in the Federal Court of California against the United States Secretary of Defense, Högseth, for overstepping his authority and listing Anthropic as a national security supply chain risk. Under the relevant provisions, the Government may classify as supply chain risk enterprises that may expose military systems to the risk of infiltration or destruction by hostile forces. Previously, Anthropic refused to allow the military to use the artificial smart chat robot Claude for United States surveillance or autonomous weapons development. This unprecedented initiative by Hergessex resulted in Anthropic being unable to obtain certain military contracts. According to executive director Anthropic, this could result in billions of dollars in business losses and damage to the reputation of the company. Kim Xian
