California's Meme Coin Bill AB 2409 passed by both Houses, awaiting signature by the Governor

The California Meme Coin Regulatory Bill AB 2409 has been passed in the State House of Representatives and Senate and is awaiting signature by the Governor. The Act prohibits public officials and government employees from issuing meme coin and, as of 1 January 2027, from online trading with residents of California。
