Cynthia Lummis: Pushing U.S. Treasury to purchase 1 million BTCs over five years

Senator Cynthia Lummis pushed Bitcoin Act to require the United States Treasury to purchase up to 1 million BTCs over the next five years and hold them for at least 20 years. Lummis stated that the hold-up would reduce United States Treasury debt by between one third and one half and that the Treasury Department was expected to start buying Bitcoin by 2026。
