THE CFTC CONFISCATED $172,000 FROM A FORMER WHITE HOUSE VERIFIER FOR USING TRUMP SPEECH INFORMATION FOR ILLICIT TRANSACTIONS

The CFTC (United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission) ordered the former White House lingo operator, Gabriel Pérez, to pay US$ 172,539 this Friday for illicit dealings on the forecast market platform using the pre-required Tramp speech. Under the settlement agreement with CFTC, Perez was required to refund USD 107,539.02 for illicit profits and to pay a civil fine of USD 65,000. He also agreed to accept a three-year trade ban and undertook to cease and desist from violating the provisions of the Merchandise Trading Act and the relevant provisions of the CFTC. According to CFTC, Perez traded the "market reference" contract on the Kalshi platform between December 2025 and February 2026 when he was in the White House.
