Analyst: Bitcoin short-term holders with unrealized profits close to 15 per cent and $80,000 near under pressure to recover
On 30 August, CryptoQuant Analyst Darkfost stated that the average unrealized profits of short-term holders (STH) had at one time been close to 15 per cent, as the current round of Bitcoin had risen to $80,000. The average storage cost for this group is currently estimated at approximately $70,100, with the highest level of profitability since July 2025. Darkfost argues that when short-term holders ' profits rise to the region, their silo stability usually falls, and some investors may choose to end up profitable. As a result, it is no surprise that bitcoin has stagnated in the vicinity of $80,000, and a short-term profit drive could become a pressure to digest when prices continue to move up。
