TRUMP-RELATED ENCRYPTION BANKS WERE APPROVED BY OCC AND 49 PER CENT OF UAE INVESTORS' SHARES RAISED CONCERNS
The World Liberty Trust Company, associated with Trump, was approved by the United States Monetary Supervisory Authority (OCC) on 14 August under preliminary conditions, and plans to act as the National Trust Bank. Forty-nine per cent of the Bank ' s holdings are held by investors supported by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, United Arab Emirates National Security Adviser, and 38 per cent of the Tramp family ' s investment instruments. This investment originated in a $500 million deal completed before Trump returned to the presidency in January 2025. The decision of the OCC, while important, was not a final bank concession, and the World Free Trust had to meet additional requirements to open its business, including maintaining at least $20 million in capital. If finally approved, the bank will be able to issue, hold and manage its USD1 stabilization currency under the same regulated entity。
