Polygon discloses an undisclosed security breach and passes through Austin, Kyoto Rehabilitation

On 31 August, Polygon disclosed several previously undisclosed security loopholes recently repaired through two hard-drives, which could affect its network of claims. The loopholes relate to Bor and Heimdall clients of Polygon, including the denial of service risks, the depletion of the certifying officer ' s resources and deficiencies affecting inspection points and milestones. Polygon states that these loopholes have been repaired through the Austin and Kyotto hard-drives and that the rehabilitation programme has been tested in private prior to deployment to the main network and public disclosure. The most serious problem relates to Heimdall, where well-structured transactions may force certifiers to perform excessive processing, thereby disrupting the network. Austin ' s hard-drive also repaired two of the Bor ' s denial-of-service risks, which could slow block processing or lead to nodal collapse. Polygon states that these loopholes were not used on the main network and that the repairs were deployed on a proactive basis before the details were made public。
