SK HERCULES IS CONSIDERING HANDING OVER PART OF THE HBM BASE NUDITY TO INTEL FOR PRODUCTION

SK Hercules is considering handing over part of the HBM base nudity film (Base Die) to Intel for production as a means of reducing dependence on the terminal crystal round-generation, which is expected to begin with the seventh generation of HBM chip HBM4E. The analysis indicated that for HBM4, the price of the base nudity tablets was three to four times higher than that of the core chips produced by SK Hercules using its grade 10 nm class 5 process. The cost burden is expected to increase further in the transition to HBM4E. Given the high proportion of HBM ' s long-term supply contracts (LTAs), it is difficult for companies to transfer the increase in the cost of alternative labour to product prices immediately, and a multi-supplier system is needed to improve their price negotiation capacity.
