JFA proposes to waive the obligation to submit tax information to beneficiaries of trust-type stable currency

According to Coinpost, on 31 August the JFA published a proposal for a reform of the fiscal year 2027, proposing that the trust-type stable currency be exempted from the obligation to submit relevant beneficiary tax information to the tax authorities in the event of a change in the beneficiary. The Office of Financial Services noted that trust-type stable currency as a payment tool for sustainable flows, that each transfer could lead to a change in the beneficiary and that the trustee had practical difficulties in obtaining the name of the holder and the change. In addition, the Japan Financial Agency has made proposals for tax reform in respect of trust-based stabilization currencies issued abroad. The above proposals will be discussed by the Government of Japan and the ruling party and may be included in the outline for the reform of the 2027 fiscal year tax system, to be drawn up at the end of the year。
