C1 Fund bet Polymarket in second quarter, holding up to 11 encryption companies

The Encrypted Assets Investment Fund C1 Fund (NYSE:CFND) published performance for the second quarter of 2026. As at 30 June, the Fund ' s net asset value (NAV) was $4,263 million, $6.49 per share of NAV, and the fair value of the investment portfolio was approximately $33.07 million, or 77.5 per cent of net assets. In the second quarter of the C1 Fund, a new Polymarket has been added and the portfolio has now expanded to 11 companies covering areas such as encrypted payments, hosting, compliance, pledge, exchange, infrastructure development and forecasting markets. The two main investment exposures were Ripple (17.5 per cent of net assets) and Kraken parent company Payward (16.9 per cent). As at 31 July, C1 Fund had repurchased and written off 249.3 million shares at a total cost of approximately $8.24 million. The company is currently authorized to repurchase up to $3 million of shares, and management has indicated that repurchases when the stock price is below NAV would help to boost the share of each remaining stockholder. In addition, Kraken and Blockchain.com have publicly announced that potential IPO applications to the US SEC have been filed in secret; BitGo completed IPO in January 2026. C1 Fund also disclosed that an earlier partial buy-back by Ripple had yielded about 150 per cent of the Fund ' s investment return in just over four months. (Businswire)
