Peach Bitcoin suspends the KYC hosting model and adjusts the rules of the transaction

Wu stated that it had been informed that the Bitcoin P2P trading platform, Peach Bitcoin, had indicated that, as the Swiss regulatory authority was reassessing its previously approved KYC compliance arrangements, the platform would suspend, effective 1 September, the hosting model in which Peach participated in the signing, to a single-signed hosting only by the seller until the final conclusion of the regulatory review. Under the new rules, only users who have completed KYC or who have reached the higher credit threshold of the transaction may create a sales order, while sellers who have not completed KYC can only participate in a single transaction with a cap adjustment of 500 Swiss francs and a maximum premium limit of 6 per cent. The dispute-handling function within the platform will remain in place and will continue to charge a 2 per cent handling fee. Peach states that it was allowed to operate the KYC-exempt market in 2022 under conditions such as setting daily and monthly transaction limits, and that it passed successive independent audits between 2023 and 2025, and that it is uncertain whether it will be possible to restore the previous hosting model in the future。
