Anthropic signed a $35 billion cloud agreement with Lambda
On 1 September, according to sources quoted by the Wall Street Journal, Anthropic had signed a $35 billion cloud computing agreement with Ambda, a cloud calculator supported by Yvesda, who owns a lease for a data centre. According to sources, Young Weida signed an agreement with Hut 8 a few weeks ago to ensure that the data centre ' s computing capacity is available. This complex arrangement once again highlights the increasingly important role of Weida in helping non-investment-level enterprises, such as Anthropic, to gain access to their expensive computing resources. The transaction also helped the emerging cloud provider Lambda to enter into a lucrative contract with Anthropic without having to procure data centre space on its own. Lambda will use the data centre being developed by Hut 8 to access the chip purchased from Weeda, an investor in Lambda. It is not yet clear how much Lambda would have to pay to Young Wida to use the data centre space. Anthropic experienced a credit bottleneck earlier this year and has been competing for a cloud capacity agreement since then. Kim Xian
