Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission prepared new regulations for retail encryption derivatives
On 31 August, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand introduced new regulations to allow licensed intermediaries to provide investment in overseas eligible digital asset derivatives for retail investors. The proposal covers retail, high netting and super-high netting investors, but does not authorize unrestricted access to all encrypted futures or options listed outside Thailand. Eligible contracts are similar to digital asset derivatives allowed in Thailand. The consultation will continue until 30 September, when the regulator has not declared the time of entry into force of the final rules or which foreign exchange and contracts will be eligible。
