Joao Wedson: Women ' s participation in encryption investments is much lower than men ' s
Joao Wedson states that the large market that the encryption industry has not really reached is female. Despite the longer time women spend online and most of their time on smartphones, the participation of women in investments, especially in encryption, is still far lower than that of men. In the United States, 25 per cent of men (18-49 years of age) own encrypted currency, compared to 8 per cent of women in the same age group. This suggests that the problem lies not in the lack of access to the digital world, but rather in the lack of financial education, self-confidence, security and products that can speak directly to female audiences. If the participation of women reaches the current level of men, the foundation of encrypted investors will be significantly expanded. The next major wave of adoptions may not come from more leverage, memes or other speculative narratives, but from millions of women who spend a small portion of their online time on learning, investing and participating in the new economy. The encryption market requires not only more users, but also learning how to communicate with the other half of the population。
