United States officials: will continue to promote United States private sector investment in Venezuela

On 2 September, United States officials indicated that the next phase of negotiations on the transition arrangements for Venezuela would resume in mid-month this year; the United States private sector investment in Venezuela would continue to be promoted. Chevron will announce the expansion of its operations in Venezuela. The United States Secretary of Energy, Wright, will be travelling to Venezuela tonight and will be attending the signing of the agreement tomorrow。
