The United States House of Representatives has introduced a bill to ban high-ranking shareholders and digital assets

According to U.S. Congresswoman Eugene Vindman was informed that on 31 August, Sell Yourstocks or Step Down Act (H.R. 10199) was introduced to prohibit the President, Vice-President, Members of Congress, senior executive officials, federal judges and some members of their families from holding or trading in shares, digital assets, commodities, futures, forecast market contracts and related derivatives. The Act requires persons to sell restricted assets within 30 days of entry into force, but allows for possession of United States Treasury bonds, state and municipal bonds and eligible diversified open-trade funds. A daily fine of up to 10 per cent of the market value of the assets in violation may be imposed if the transaction is not sold as scheduled, and up to a maximum of 50 per cent of the transaction is subject to a fine equal to the value of the assets in question plus $10,000 and the related profits. The bill is currently only at the stage of being introduced by the Chamber of Deputies and referred to the Committee for consideration。
