Strategy CEO Phong Le: BTC marketing decisions depend mainly on capital costs

In an interview with Bloomberg TV, Strategy CEO Phong Le stated that the company had previously sold bitcoin between $60,000 and $65,000, and had recently purchased about $80,000. He stressed that Strategy ' s BTC sales decisions did not depend on the specific price of Bitcoin, but largely on the cost of capital. Le also mentioned that the sale of about 7,000 BTCs to cover part of the preferred dividends was the right deal at the time, and that the company had reduced net debt from about $7 billion to zero over the past two months and had created reserves of about $7 billion. It is also the right deal to finance and purchase BTC through premium issuance of MSTR shares. Le states that Strategy actually adopted a “two-way strategy” and that BTC could still be sold where appropriate, but in general the BTC net purchaser. Even if the BTC rises to 90,000, 100,000 or $130,000, companies may continue to buy as long as capital costs and expected returns are appropriate。
