Artificial Analysis has labelled the model "Quasar 438B (max, based on GLM-5.2)" and states that it is based on GLM-5.2. On 5 August, when Quasar 438B went to Beta, the CompactifAI update log showed that its capabilities were "same" as GLM-5.2. The community questioned whether Quasar had simply renamed GLM-5.2 after compression or modification. The GLM-5.2 total parameter is about 753B and, in reasoning, 40B is activated, and the smart index max is down 53 minutes from Quasar to 438B with only 43 minutes, but the output speed is about 174 token/s, which is significantly faster than about 68 token/s of GLM-5.2。
