Ukrainian police shut down a fake encrypted investment platform for $1 million a month
According to Decrypt, the Ukrainian National Police and the Security Service closed down a network of false investment platforms that stole encrypted money wallets from users in more than 20 countries. Using the Telegram channel, the group used false investment advertisements to lure victims to counterfeit exchanges and steal funds. Investigators identified 62 victims in more than 20 countries, including Germany, Poland, France, the United Kingdom, Canada and Israel, with a peak monthly turnover of $1 million。
