Ukrainian police shut down a fake encrypted investment platform for $1 million a month
According to Decrypt, the Ukrainian National Police and the Security Service closed down a network of false investment platforms that stole encrypted currency wallets from users in more than 20 countries/regions. The group used the Telegram channel to publish false investment advertisements to lure victims to counterfeit exchanges and steal funds. Investigators identified 62 victims in more than 20 countries/regions, including Germany, Poland, France, the United Kingdom, Canada and Israel, with a peak monthly turnover of $1 million。
