Trump claims that the U.S. ammunition stockpile is almost unlimited and has unprecedented capacity
On 4 September, United States President Trump wrote on social platforms that “to the traitors who refuse to report accurately on our military operations in Iran: we possess almost unlimited quantities of medium- and high-grade ammunition, much more than we might use in this war, let alone any other possible war (although this is highly unlikely!). In addition, we are producing ammunition at unprecedented levels. We are storing and preparing for any possible contingencies. We are stockpiling them for ourselves — the United States of America — rather than selling them to others, but sales to allies will soon resume. At the same time, please be aware that the amount of ammunition provided by the Biden Government to Ukraine at no cost is far greater than the amount we use in Iran. Hundreds of billions of dollars were given to Ukraine and NATO on a non-reimbursable basis, and those should have been borne by Europe — as long as they were asked to do so. But we'll ask for the money, though it's a little late."
