SEC REQUESTS ENCRYPTED ETF DECLARATIONS, AND INDUSTRY AGENCIES DISAGREE
According to Bitcoin.com News, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is in the process of consulting on the confidentiality period and the speed at which ETF declarations are encrypted. Grayscale and Crypto Council for Participation (CCI) support the establishment of an optional confidential declaration period, while Charles Schwab recommends that documents be made public 75 days in advance. Andressen Horowitz (A16Z) supported a reduction in audit time, and Jane Street believed that faster processes could reduce product quality. Currently, the United States has 174 encrypted assets related to ETF, iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) under the flag of BlackRock, which represents approximately $61 billion, or 38 per cent of total assets。
