THE KOREAN WON RISING SK HERCULES IS KNOWN TO SELL DOLLARS AT THE LOCAL MARKET
On 14 July, according to a trader and a government official familiar with the transaction, the Korean Won rose with the sale of the United States dollar by SK Hercules at the local market. The United States dollar fell by 0.3 per cent to 1492.95 against the Korean Won, before falling by 0.7 per cent to 1486.20, a two-month low. According to sources, Hanwha Ocean sold forward United States dollar contracts on Fridays and Mondays, but has yet to do so on Tuesdays。
