Joint British-American Statement: Planning for the application of stabilization currency in cross-border finance
On 15 July, the United Kingdom and the United States issued a joint statement on the currency of stability, which states that the United Kingdom and the United States are committed to deepening their cooperation in the areas of capital markets and digital assets, as reflected in the United States-United States Joint Trans-Atlantic Working Group on Future Markets, and to ensuring that digital financial innovation strengthens rather than severs the transatlantic financial market system. Both Governments considered that well-regulated and stable currencies had the potential to promote the efficiency and competitiveness of the financial system, modernize financial market infrastructure and improve cross-border payment and trading experiences. At the same time, both Governments recognized the importance of promoting competition and innovation, preserving financial stability, protecting consumer interests and maintaining public confidence in the monetary system in a financial ecosystem that encompassed multiple monetary forms。
