Stripe and Advent offered PayPal over $53 billion

On 15 July, according to two sources, the paying company Stripe and the private equity company Advent International had jointly offered to buy Paypal (PYPL.O) at $60.50 per share, a deal that would give the paying company an estimated value of over $53 billion. According to sources, the offer, which was submitted earlier this month, has received some $50 billion in committed financing support from the bank, which is about 28 per cent higher than PayPal ' s closing premium on Tuesday.
