THE SECOND UPSWING IN THE YEAR IN ASMEH IS EXPECTED TO BOOST DEMAND AS A RESULT OF THE EXPECTED AI INVESTMENT BOOM
On 15 July, for the second time this year, ASML.O was set up to sell for the entire year, as the surge in artificial intelligence investment continued to drive demand for chip manufacturing equipment. On Wednesday, the company indicated that net sales are expected to reach between 43 and 45 billion euros this year, compared with the previous projection of between 36 and 40 billion euros in April. With the investment of hundreds of billions of dollars in advanced artificial intelligence infrastructure by technology companies such as Microsoft and Alphabet, chip manufacturers are accelerating capacity expansion. Meeting market demand is one of the major challenges facing Chief Executive Officer Asmai at present. Asmai had previously indicated that at least 60 low-value UV optical carvings were planned to be produced this year and that it was expected to have the capacity to produce at least 80 low-value UV equipment per year by 2027. In addition, asmai is continuously expanding its production capacity, with the construction of a new campus in Einhoven, the Netherlands, scheduled to begin this quarter and eventually accommodate some 20,000 employees.
