DeepSeek completes the first round of over $7.4 billion in financing, valued over $50 billion
DeepSeek completed the first round of financing, amounting to over $7.4 billion (about $50 billion), and the valuation exceeded $50 billion. This financing follows a non-conventional trading structure in which external investors do not invest directly in DeepSeek, but rather fund limited partnerships managed by CEO Liangbong to ensure that the founders have absolute control over the company. The founder, Liang Wenbong, personally contributed 20 billion yuan and made an investment of 10 billion yuan. Business and industry information shows that the main operator of DeepSeek has added Hangzhou Cheng and the National Fund for Investment in Artificial Intellectual Industries as shareholders, increasing the registered capital from $15 million to $16.475 million. The National Fund for Investment in the Artificial Intelligence Industry has a direct share of approximately 0.28 per cent and Hangzhou has a share of about 8.52 per cent。
