The real US-Iraq spending was exposed to hundreds of billions of dollars

On 16 July, the United States side received information that the actual expenditure on United States military operations against Iran could be as high as $100 billion, well above the $31 billion announced by the United States Government. According to the source, an internal assessment by the United States Department of Defense indicated that actual United States expenditure on military operations against Iran was between $80 billion and $100 billion. There is a significant discrepancy with the amounts disclosed by the previous Government, mainly because the previous estimates did not cover undisclosed war expenditures, the loss of advanced warplanes and the serious damage to United States military facilities in the Middle East. The cost of rebuilding the United States military base that Iran hit alone could exceed $30 billion. (In Russian)
