On 16 July, Jamie Damon, CEO of Morgan Chase, stated that the risks posed by the Mythos Artificial Intelligence (AI) model of Anthropic PBC was a “real issue” and that the United States Government was now very concerned. In recent months, the rapid development of the AI model has prompted industry and government to assess potential threats. Previously, Anthropic had claimed that its Mythos model was so good in detecting software loopholes that it could not be released to the public, making the issue even more urgent. Damon warned on Wednesday at Senator Dave McCormick ' s Pennsylvania Defence and Innovation Summit that there was a risk of opening up an advanced system to a wider audience. “Letting individuals use Mythos is basically like handing over ballistic missiles to them”, he said。
