Lauren Belive: Against Clarity Act exposes the encryption holder to risk Medium

The Ripple Global Public Policy Co-Director of Government, Lauren Belive, stated that opposition to CLARITY Act was an anti-consumer act that continued to expose encryption holders to undesirable actors who exploited regulatory arbitrage. She noted that the regulatory gaps revealed by the FTX collapse remained. CLARITY Act will give the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the United States Commodity Futures and Exchange Commission (CFTC) common jurisdiction over the digital asset market and require that tokens be subject to regulatory supervision before entering the market.
