SpaceX USA successfully launched and tested the Fabships Experiment Module
On 7 July, SpaceX successfully tested space semiconductor manufacturing technology on board the Fabship experiment module developed by Besxar during its recent launch of the “Star Chain”. The device, which crosses the Carmen Line with the Falcon 9 rocket, uses space microgravity and a super-clean vacuum environment to eliminate gravitational crystal growth defects and to produce more pure and better performing semiconductor materials. Besxar has signed 12 successive test flight agreements with SpaceX to use the rapid iterative manufacturing process and to verify the ability of semiconductor chips to return safely to Earth. If technology matures, space is expected to become a new link in the semiconductor supply chain, providing super-purified materials that cannot be produced on the ground in the area of chip manufacturing。
