Korea has lost about 2.15 trillion won to leverage

Over the past month, the Korean diaspora has lost about 2.15 trillion won (about $1.45 billion) for leverage transactions. Investors between 20 and 30 years of age accounted for 62 per cent of the accounts that were forced to settle. As at 13 July, some 320,000 to 460,000 leveraged account holders had been completely cleared. Data from the Korea Financial Investment Association show that, from 1 to 13 July, the actual amount of compulsory silos triggered by unliquidated transactions amounted to 451.9 billion won。
