Ostum was attacked by $18 million for stealing oracle keys
The Ostium platform was attacked with $18 million for stolen oracle keys. The attackers obtained the private key for signing the Ostium price oracle report, through which false price data were sent to Ostium ' s automated system to make it appear profitable. The attackers conducted about 20 switch trade cycles within hours, resulting in the removal of USDC from Vault of approximately $11.86 million to $18 million, or approximately 28 per cent of the total stock of Vault $63 million. Blockaid discovered and publicly marked the incident, Ostium subsequently suspended the transaction and all positions and user funds were frozen for investigation. Ostium raised $27.8 million from a number of investors and processed more than $50 billion in cumulative transactions. Despite numerous audits, the attack was successful because of the gap in the oracle infrastructure。
