CoinGecko issued the 2026 Q2 encryption report: market value dropped by 12.6 per cent
Wu stated that the 2026 Q2 report issued by CoinGecko indicated that by the end of June the total market value of encrypted currencies had fallen by 12.6 per cent to $2.1 trillion. The market value of the stable currency fell by 1.6 per cent to $30.5 billion, the first since Q3 in 2023. The market volume of nominal transactions is projected to grow by 48.7 per cent, with total Q2 to $113.8 billion in 2026. The CEX spot trade fell by 27.9 per cent to $195 trillion, with a new low of $62 billion in May and a small rebound to $69.5 billion in June. In contrast, the performance of the CEE for sustainable contract transactions was more resistant, with Q2 transactions amounting to $12.7 trillion, a decline of only 10.0 per cent. Despite the overall weakness of the market, the monthly turnover of sustainable contracts remained at over $4 trillion。
