FIVE HUNDRED AND NINETY-SEVEN.56 BITCOIN WHALES TRANSFERRED IN 8.5 YEARS, WORTH ABOUT $384 MILLION

On 17 July, a Bitcoin wallet that had been unused since the end of 2017 was transferred on Thursday, 5907.56 BTCs, valued at approximately $384 million, to a new address. Galaxy Research data show that these BTCs were first received on 14 December 2017 and transferred in bitcoin block 958217 for approximately UTC 00:15. The agency estimated that the average purchase price of the related warehouse had increased by approximately $286 million, or 291 per cent, over the average purchase price of approximately $17,000. The funds were transferred to previously unidentified wallets rather than to the known exchange filling address, and the chain information did not show that the holder had sold bitcoin. The transfer also moved BTC from the traditional address starting with "1" to the newer bc1q address format。
