Bybit acquired NOBI and launched a local platform in Indonesia

Bybit announced the launch of a local operating platform in Indonesia, PT Enkripsi Teknologi Handal, formerly NOBI, after the acquisition of majority shares in the digital asset company PT Enkripsi Teknologi Handal, which was renamed Bybit Indonesia after the completion of the transaction. Bybit indicated that the service would be rolled out in stages, with the first 500 encrypted currency transactions on line. Bybit Indonesia will be the CEO of Lawrence Samantha and Dionisius Evan, both former NOBI executives. According to the Indonesian Financial Services Authority, as of February 2026, there were 21.07 million registered users of encrypted assets in Indonesia, with a total of $26.85 billion in encrypted transactions in 2025. As of April, 31 encrypted related entities had been licensed in Indonesia, including PT Enkripsi Teknologi Handal。
